LOLER Standard

LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations [9, 10 & 11] 1998).
Thorough examinations and inspections of lifting equipment. Safe and successful lifting operations depend on the continued safety of the lifting equipment and accessories that are used. Failures in this kind of equipment can result in significant or even fatal injuries. In addition to the requirements for safe design and construction, all lifting equipment should also be checked and maintained as necessary. These checks are necessary to verify that the lifting equipment can continue to be safely used. Cobalt delivers a thorough examination and inspection, plus the reporting and record-keeping obligations of LOLER. Details of the standards are available here.

LEEA Methodology

LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineering Association.)
LEEA is an international trade association that represents companies involved in the design, manufacture, repair, and maintenance of lifting equipment. LEEA sets standards for lifting equipment and provides training and certification programs for those involved in the industry. LEEA standards provide best practice guidance for the lifting equipment during an inspection reporting which ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose. LEEA standards and LOLER regulations both play a vital role in ensuring that lifting operations are carried out safely. Cobalt utilises the principles of LEEA by providing periodic inspection for each individual piece of equipment Details available here

Dropped Object Prevention - In-house Inspections

Drops is one of the major inspection’s requirements for a lot of businesses. Once every 12 months is not satisfactory, leading most companies to have a maintenance calendar that covers specific areas of equipment within given locations. These parameters include Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly inspections. Cobalt24 offers a complete solution that acts as an API integration module making use of a tablet inspection linking to the main Drops data.
